If you have a sharp edge exposed to the airflow then it will squeak.Check the throttle body connection and if there is a sharp edge, chamfer it somewhat and it should go away.

    Guys,

Any AEM filter needs to be cleaned with AEM specific cleaner, left to dry and then re oiled using AEM oil. This oil is different to the K & N oil, so it is not recommended.
If you need cleaning kits, please ask Fast Forward in Berlin,Tel nr.030 322 00120. Oliver Franke.
    thanks
    Jeremy Barras AEM/DC Sports.

    P.S.
Does anyone have any experience in dealing with DC Automobiltechnik in Essen? They are NOT connected in any way to DC Sports and are using the logo illegally(so far).

You can order the AEM Cold Air Intake from one of several
of our european distributors direct and they have it in stock.
Germany...Fast Forward in Berlin. Call Oliver on 030 322 00120.
Or call Japan Car Parts in Rotterdam or ABP Motorsport in the UK or call Speedworks in Sweden. You will find telephone numbers on our website; look under dealers, then international.
The Air bye pass valve fits all S2000 up to 2003. 2004 does NOT fit.

Please see my comments on page 2.
There is a huge difference between AEM and some no name. The difference is HORSEPOWER. Or in the case of the no names....NO HORSEPOWER. We test everyone's CAIs', and therefore know who produces power or not.

The AEM CAI or the V2 are both designed on the Dyno(leistungsprufstand) to optimize horsepower and torque gains across the engine rev range. Please go to http://www.aempower.com and look at the Dyno graphs posted. They show you exactly where and at what revs your horsepower gains are.
The No name CAI come mostly from China, have never seen a dyno, and can actually cost you horsepower, instead of increasing your horsepower.
All they do is make noise and nothing else. The funny squeaking comes from the fact that they are NOT dyno developed, and therefore no under hood temperature studies have been done. They have also not done any fuel trim tests either.
So, even for 100 euro, it is actually a waste of time and money.
    Hope that this clarifies things.

I will inform this forum as soon as one of our european dealers has them available. As said, this will be available very quickly.
The problem did not become apparent during development because the car itself has to be standing at a certain angle, not on level ground, and there has to be torrential rainfall before the water can flow into the egine bay. We test for water ingress according to standard SAE tests, which are similar to the DIN norms. They require 90 minutes at simulated driving speeds in torrential rain. This is done with the vehicle on level ground.
The V2 system is double walled and cannot therefore use our By Pass valve.
    Hope this helps.

I am the export manager of AEM and DC Sports.
We have already made a fix for the S2000 V2 Air Intake, which will be available in Europe within 2-4 weeks. It is a small valve which you install in your V2 tubing, which stays open when the motor is not on, allowing any water to drain out. When the engine is started and pulls air hard, it closes.
This solves the problem. The valve is installed by drilling a small hole in the tubing at the lowest point where the water gathers.
    Hope this helps.

We are also having a lot of success with our EMS,our plug and play Engine Managment System. For serious tuners a must. Log onto our website,www.aempower.com for more details.
