    Hier die Antwort von BP:

All of the parts you requested EXCEPT the Comptech, Veilside, and AEM
pieces will have to be Special Ordered from Japan, and will take 6-10
weeks to receive here in the states.

Also...die AEM Veilside und Comptech Teile sind on stock...alles andere mus saus Japan geholt werden.

Spoon Teile werde ich wohl in Kuerze anbieten koennen!

    Gruesse,

BAY AREA (KRON) -- You take a risk when you buy a used car. So what can you do to protect yourself?

Many consumers rely on a carfax report but Contact 4's Joe Ducey says it will only do so much. Carfax is a service that provides information about a vehicle's past. It costs about $20 and its a good idea. But we found in California, access to police databases is limited. That means the information on Carfax is limited too.

When Minchau Truong bought her used Solara, she wondered if it had been in an accident. Indeed it had been, though her dealer never told her, and the carfax report never showed it.

We aired Minchau's story last year. That's when DMV's Larry Ng told us Carfax is limited: It shows if a car's totalled, but not if its been in an accident.

When the Union City resident Victoria Parilla saw our story, she couldn't believe it. Her used Mercedes turned out to have major electrical problems the dealer didn't disclose. We had three salesmen all at the same time. They all said nothing is wrong with the car, recalls Victoria.

Carfax showed nothing. Where it said 'accidents,' it said 'No.' I took it as a clean bill of health, says Victoria.

When she heard our report, she was shocked. I was screaming my head off, 'Can you believe Carfax doesn't tell you if its been in an accident!' says Parilla.

To find out if Victoria's car had been in an accident, Contact 4 took her car to Jeff McCann at Don's Autobody in San Francisco.

We're looking for any tape lines or fading of the paint, McCann told us. He checked for paint overspray, and he checked seam lines. It's a nice tight seam between the tail light and the quarter panel, he says.

With a special tool, he checked the thickness of the paint. Right now it's measuring between 5.5 and 6 -- that's in the rough average of how much paint should be on a car from a factory finish, says McCann.

The car could have been in an accident, but nothing serious. A big relief for Victoria.

The lesson to learn is if you're buying a used car, don't rely only on Carfax. Make sure to get it in writing if the dealer states it has never been in an accident. Take it for a test drive. And get an independent mechanic to check it out.You have that right.

As for Minhchau, it turned out her car had indeed been in a serious wreck. But thanks to Contact 4, she got her money back.

Carfax is lobbying to get more access to information in California, so consumers here can know more about the car they're buying. It's a bill being worked on now by State Senator Tom Torlaksen.

Consumers who would like to see more data reported should contact the following:

    Hallo,
