vmware workstation

    Hey Leute,


    ich habe mal wieder eine Frage, ich versuch nun seit Tagen vmware workstation bei mir aufm rechner zu installieren.
    Allerdings nicht auf der normalen Festplatte, sondern auf einer externen Platte.....
    ich bekomme aber immer diese Meldung hier....


    You may not install this product in the root directory of any drive


    hat einer von euch eine idee wie ich das programm doch auf der externen festplatt gespeichert bekomme? weil ich habe keine lust meine "normale" festplatte damit zu zu packen.

    Nicht so wirklich.... aber die Meldung sagt wohl aus das du es nicht direkt im Hauptverzeichnis installieren darfst. Probiere doch erstmal nen Ordner auf der externen anzulegen (zB Programme/VMWare) und installiere es dort hinein.
    Schon probiert?

    ne das habe ich noch nicht getan. Ich hatte nur die Festplatte nochmal in 2 Partitionen unterteilt, weil ich dachte das liegt da vielleicht dran.
    Aber Du könntest recht haben. Das werde ich heute Abend direkt ma ausprobieren.

    du hattest recht. ich musste einen ordner anlagen auf der externen festplatte, damit es funktioniert. danke für den tip
