my "homemade" dual oil catch tank (can)

Nick wrote to me with some questions and the best solution for all will be new thread here.

I want good dual oil catch can for my car, but there are only two way, cheap from the China (with steel wool) or expensive from USA (Mishimoto,Radium Engineering) I designed and made Oil catch tank (can) for my S2000. The inspiration was Mishimoto baffled oil catch can, which is sold the equivalent of about €270 per piece. (So that dual solution cost about €550).
Material "container" is aluminum, stainless steel fasteners, the holder steel sheet. For filtering is used air filter from air compressors. Same system as use Mishomoto. Weakness for my solution is- It do not have check system... however you can easily unscrew lower part of container and make check.
Holder for S2000 is in area where S2000 has cruise control. I do not have it on car yet, but you can see holder on position and mounted. For another location or car I can make special holder.

The disc is not the filter. The filter is that bronze part. It is used in air compressors... that part separate oil from air. Some info about the filter- http://www.porousfilter.com/in…product/index/id/146.html
It filtrate very small parts of oil from aerosol (air). When I have filter, I do not need steel wool. Some people use complete oil separator from compressors, but it have very small reservoir for oil. I add photos with that solution. (you can see that it works )
Disc has different function- when I have some oil in lower reservoir, it is against splashing, sloshing etc. And you can easily put steel wool under disc, but I think it is not necessary.

Hello, it is long time, but I have a some test and results. Because I do not ride with S2K much this year, I used as test car my friend's BMW 135i (N54 engine). Photos are after 1500km. All works fine and as I except.
You can see oil on input tube, output is absolutely dry, oil was catch in tank.
